One of the fun things about homeschooling are the rabbit trails you can go down. I wasn't planning to talk about Michelangelo. We were reading about Christopher Columbus and it mentioned Michelangelo. Since we had the M encyclopedia already at the table because we had looked up what a mandolin was we looked at Michelangelo and then I decided to give J the opportunity to "paint the ceiling" or rather draw on paper taped under the table. It was a fun experience. It was hard getting to the right height. He didn't really draw much but I am sure he will remember something about Michelangelo.
